CAD X11® Enhancements in year 2006

  1. The Hexagon and N-Gon functions now use the system radius value for the radius and diagonal size options, and the distance system variable for the length of a side size option (release 4.0.202) - Feb 15, 2006
  2. When you export a DXF file, the value for the pen width parameter is maintained throughout a design session until CAD X11 is closed. The default and minimum value allowed for Metric drawings is now handled properly (release 4.0.203) - Feb 23, 2006
  3. Reading the default color assignment of data in DXF files is now displayed as expected as black, not a Sea Green color as before (release 4.0.203) - Feb 23, 2006
  4. DXF output of splines is improved with more chords when the curvature is greater. The display tolerance controls the number of chords (Menu Tools->Options->Display, variable Display Tolerance) (release 4.0.204) - Mar 15, 2006
  5. When reading in dimensions in DXF files, the color of the inserted dimension entities is now correct (release 4.0.205) - Mar 21, 2006
  6. Point to point dimensions (dimensions on a slope) are now all read in properly and not changed to horizontal dimensions (release 4.0.205) - Mar 21, 2006
  7. A temporary display error for lines when the user answers yes to a rescale prompt when defining a point to point dimension that partially goes off screen when the grid is on has been corrected (release 4.0.205) - Mar 21, 2006
  8. Selectable entities for 3D rotations (Modify menu) are now correctly limited to points, lines, arcs, 3D linear strings and groups. Previously most all entities were selectable but the program is not designed to process all entity types (release 4.0.206) - Mar 23, 2006
  9. The undo/redo sequence has been corrected for converting 2D and 3D linear strings to lines, converting strings to lines/arcs and the duplication options under the Modify menu (release 4.0.206) - Mar 23, 2006
  10. The feature of saving a dialog box size and position each time it is moved no longer applies to prompts that do not yet have titles. Previously, the first dialog that was displayed without a title set the size and position for all subsequent unnamed dialogs and at times the OK and Cancel buttons were hidden, etc. (release 4.0.206) - Mar 23, 2006
  11. A problem with the grid fully displaying when you answer YES to a rescale prompt for events like a new circle or ellipse generated partially off screen has been corrected (release 4.0.207) - Mar 24, 2006
  12. An occasional crash when define a 2D spline (error with gm23f) has been corrected (release 4.0.207) - Mar 24, 2006
  13. The tolerance used for chain entity selection in Metric drawings has been corrected (release 4.0.211) - May 27, 2006
  14. Two passwords are now supported for laptops where multiple MAC addresses may occur for docking stations, etc. (release 4.0.212) - July 8, 2006
  15. The scratch area full message on the Free Version that indicates the user has exceeded the file size limit for free drawings has been replaced with a message stating that to resolve the limitation, an upgrade to the Professional version is required (release 4.0.213) - Sep 14, 2006
  16. The Ctrl S shortcut no longer bypasses the SAVEAS file dialog box (release 4.0.213) - Sep 14, 2006
  17. Starting a new drawing and inserting a pattern first will now activate the save and save as options in the File Menu and on the toolbar (release 4.0.213) - Sep 14, 2006
  18. DXF file input capabilities has been enhanced - parts of the DIMSTYLE parameters for dimensions are now implement including the decimal point character, text height, zero suppression, and decimal places (release 4.0.213) - Sep 14, 2006
  19. DXF file input capabilities has been enhanced - dimensions that direct the text to be calculated from the reference points is supported, leaders with only x,y pairs are supported and the MTEXT entity character aspect ratio calculation has been corrected (release 4.0.213) - Sep 14, 2006
  20. The layer name table is now saved with the drawing (release 4.0.214) - Sep 19, 2006
  21. The key-in start point prompt for the Line->Delta function has been corrected to show the Ok and Done buttons (release 4.0.215) - Oct 25, 2006
