  1. The AI routine aiflp can now handle pathnames up to 1024 characters (release 14.2.0 411) - January 7, 2001

DXF input of text has been improved (both DXF text and mtext entity types).   This would include display of previously missing text, text that extended far past the drawing, text slant of DXF mtext entities, improved mapping of DXF font types to GTWorks font types, and the length of text strings within the drawing area.  In addition, the text display mode is automatically set to "target" instead of "s7kfst".   (release 14.2.0 414) - January 18, 2001

DXF input of planar entities has been improved.   Planar entities other than arcs and circles (solids, polylines, faces, etc.) with a unit normal vector different than the model space unit normal vector are now properly mapped into the GTWorks coordinate system (release 14.2.0 414, DXF build 69) - January 22, 2001

The dynamic display of a toolpath in the N/C Display and Edit function may now be interrupted with the CTRL/N function key combination.  This enables the user to terminate a very slow tool movement without aborting GTWorks and without loosing the position in the editing of the current toolpath (release 14.2.0 414, N/C build 53) - January 22, 2001
  14. The GTWorks viewer now prompts the user for a plotting scale.  The user can enter a lower scale than the default scale value, but not a higher value - February 21, 2001

When GTWorks might abort due to running out of virtual memory (typically under Windows NT or Windows 2000), the Undo/Redo memory is cleared before the system attempts to create a save????.gx file before completely terminating.  Before, performing large deletion operations with low virtual memory allocation would fill up the virtual memory with undo/redo data, and then abort when the memory was exhausted, and not create a "save" or "recover" file (release 14.2.0 422) - March 25, 2001
  18. The regeneration of linear dimensions where one or both witness lines point to arc endpoints has been corrected.  Now the correct data is stored with linear dimensions and the regeneration logic processes this information correctly.  Dimensions created before this release could still move unexpectedly when using drafting regeneration (menu 16.17) (release 14.2.0 426) - March 28, 2001
  19. An infrequent fatal DXF output error when processing diameter dimensions has been corrected (release 14.2.0 426) - March 28, 2001

  43. An error with N/C lathe grooving that resulting in GTWorks locking up has been corrected.  The problem was for the multiple depth cut option where the number of depth cuts was an exact multiple of the depth of the groove (release 14.2.0 442) - November 29, 2001
  44. For the AI routine aigtp3, the end angle is ensured to be larger than the start angle for counter clockwise arcs when the type of toolpath statement retrieved is a surface (type 3) statement (release 14.2.0 442) - November 29, 2001
  45. The AI routine aisctl now correctly stores the N/C Wire EDM wire diameter and wire display diameter.  Previously, these two values were stored in reverse (release 14.2.0 442) - November 29, 2001

  47. The break line function (menu 10.16) now properly starts the rubberbanding display of the first selected screen position when a work coordinate system (WCS) is active (release 14.2.0 443) - December 2, 2001
  48. When creating an N/C wire EDM tool path of one circle, the direction of the wire around the circle is now controlled by which end of the circle is indicated.  When the prompt appears to select which side of the circle the wire might be offset from, indicate the side near the 30 degree position to direct the N/C function to move counter clockwise around the circle.  Position the crosshairs at about the -30 degree position for a clockwise wire movement (release 14.2.0 443) - December 2, 2001
  49. When only planar entities (arcs, conics, polygons, etc.) are allowed for selection (e.g. arc menu 11.4), now entities in views that are co-planar to the current work plane can be selected (release 14.2.0 444) - December 4, 2001
  50. If a warning message is displayed about not finding a valid entity when rubberbanding is on (e.g. menu 11.4), rubberbanding is suspended until the message is acknowledged (release 14.2.0 444) - December 4, 2001
  51. Setting the finish sweep flag to OFF when calling the Application Interface routine ainclg for single or multiple depth cuts no longer causes the program to loop with the warning message "software option not implemented" (release 14.2.0 444) - December 4, 2001

The AI routine aigtp3 now returns the correct start and end angles for surface statements where the WCS (world coordinate system) of the toolpath is not equal to model space.  In addition the  display points returned for surface statements now match the storage setting for each coordinate (2,3 or 6) (release 14.2.0 446) - December 19, 2001
  59. Notes in a drawing that are not readable are now deleted upon drawing retrieval to recover storage space (release 14.2.0 446) - December 19, 2001
  60. The floating license manager has been upgraded with a different internal format for communication.  The current updated GTWorks program will not work with older license managers and older copies of GTWorks will not work with this updated license manager (release 14.2.0 449) - December 26, 2001
  61. Mirroring of patterns upon retrieval (vertical or horizontal axis through the insertion point) is now supported (release 14.2.0 449) - December 26, 2001
  62. Blanked entities in a pattern will not be unblanked if you use shape drag to insert the pattern (release 14.2.0 449) - December 26, 2001
